How Covid-19 affects IPL 13 ❓

What BCCI is likely wondering right now if those schedules can be tweaked and how❓

"The 2009 IPL - in South Africa - was played inside 37 days.  If that kind of a window is made , the IPL can be held partly in India and partly overseas, or the entire tournament can be shifted, depending on how the Covid-19 situation is globally.

Six options available to BCCI for hosting IPL 2020
1. Curtailed IPL: Eight teams playing each other just once instead of home and away in the league (32 games, including 4 playoffs) or being divided into two groups of four teams each and playing home and away (28 games including playoffs).

2. Extending the window: The original schedule of the IPL suggested that the tournament will start on March 24 and get over on May 29.

3. Double headers

4. Three games a day
5. 7 Limited venues
6. Play in empty stadium

No compromising on security: The security of players, support staff, groundsmen have to be of prime importance. There were discussions on how to improve the facilities during the games.

According to Business Today report if this year's games are cancelled altogether, it could cost the BCCI a whopping Rs 3,869.5 crore. This include Rs 3,269.5 crore of broadcast and streaming revenue and Rs 200 crore and Rs 400 crore of central sponsor by ET Online
BCCI has already decided to halve the prize money for this year's IPL champion team will now receive Rs 10 crore instead of Rs 20. The runners-up will get Rs 6.25 crore instead Rs 12.5 crore. The two losing qualifiers will now get Rs 4.3 crore each, a sharp scale-down from last year's Rs 8.75-crore purse.
As well as due to pandemic Coronavirus no foreign played are available due to visa cancellation by government.
